Everything about the Fix BalmUpdated 4 months ago
Does the Balm dry quickly on the lashes?
No, the Fix Balm does not dry completely during treatment, as it is a balm that keeps the lashes nourished with oils.
How many treatments can I perform with the Balm?
This varies, but approximately 30 - 40 treatments.
How should I apply the Fix Balm?
- Cleanse and degrease the lashes and eyelids thoroughly.
- Attach the silicone pads (e.g., the self-adhesive silicone pads).
- Apply a thin layer of Fix Balm on the silicone pad using a brush.
- Pick up a small amount of Fix Balm again with the brush and gradually fix the lashes to the silicone pad (avoid applying too much balm).
- After fixing the lashes to the silicone pad, use the Y-tool or Lashlift tool to brush the lashes straight up, ensuring they are neatly aligned on the pad.
- Use a cleaning stick to remove excess Fix Balm from the lash line to the tips and press the lashes onto the pad again.
- Apply the first lotion and let it process. Then carefully remove it with a dry cotton swab, avoiding the lash tips (cover only 1/3 of the lashes so that 2/3 retain their hold). TIP: If some lashes become loose, you can place cling film over the lashes to keep them in place.
- If any lashes come loose after removing the lotion, use a microbrush and a small amount of Fix Balm to reattach them (a fan is recommended to help dry).
- Once the lashes are secured again, apply the second lotion, let it process, remove, and then tint the lashes.
- Treat the lashes with our Double Filler and dry with a fan.
- Recommend the "Lash & Brow Plex" to your client for lash care.
How should the Fix Balm be stored?
Store in a dry, cool place! We recommend placing the balm in the refrigerator 30–45 minutes before the treatment.
Why do the lashes come loose with the Fix Balm?
This issue may occur if the client’s lashes are very short. Fix Balm remains flexible and doesn’t dry completely. For optimal hold, choose the correct pad size and apply the lotion to only 1/3 of the lashes. Otherwise, the warmth produced during the lotion processing can soften the balm and cause lashes to come loose.
What should I use to apply the Fix Balm?
You can use any tool you prefer. We especially like working with our silicone brushes or the Lashlift Brush!
